Default Plants

I will be setting my new dart viv up soon. Could you please list some suitable plants. I will be using Tropical terrain mixed with orchid bark. This will be laid on top of some gravel with a false floor as I am running an external filter on the waterfall.

Any advice on the setup would be appreciated

Stuff so far.
Glass viv 80cmx40cmx50cm
External filter Eheim eco pro 300
Egg racking
Substrate

To Get.

can you use 'shop' bought plants safely? I always worry about pesticides or fertilizers on them. is there a time limit to leave them to grow without placing them in the tanks? I was just going to go head and buy all my plants from dartfrog. Does anyone know anywhere else I could look?

I have always used shop brought plants. Repot them in eco eart of a SAFE soil, give the leafs a good clean with D10 or similar amphibian safe disinfectant, then give them a good spray with declorinated water and they should be fine. It is more of a worry with Lizards as they will eat the plants but with frogs it is alot safer. Tescos, B&Q and homebase have some great tropical plants and a fraction of the price of the internet.

You can always ask the store assistant what soil they are in.
