Default Humidity and Feeding Advice Needed - Whites.

OK the viv I have my whites in doesn't seem to ever be more than 50% humidity during the day. The temp is usually around 30c... Is there any way I can get the humidity up slightly, or is 50% a reasonable humidity? I spray the tank a couple of times a day, cover over the mesh throughout the day and have a large water bowl already.

Also on a separate matter... Any ideas how to get one of my whites to eat? He doesn't seem interested in eating... I have tried feeding him in a separate tank so I can check, but all he seems to do is climb to the top corners and ignore the crickets. The other two eat well, and seem nice and healthy. I have been feeding them 1st brown crickets. Any advice would be extremely helpful, as im starting to get worried :-s

Thank you.

ok, first, what set up do you have? an exo terra? you may need to add a waterfall of some description. also what type of humidity gauge are you using? sometimes they aren't accurate, the digital ones need new batteries quite often. other than that, spraying if the only reliable way I'm afraid!

on the food front, how old and how big is the frog? maybe you could try a different size food? my adults refuse to eat adult crixs! they will only eat 4ths.

Panic over... I finally got the little one to eat... I guess he was still settling in or something... But he is eating fine now... So I am certainly relieved Just guna keep an eye on him for a while longer tho to make sure there aren't any problems

I have an exo terra 45x45x60 - I've been spraying more times during the day now and that seems to have got the humidity up to around 60% is that ok, or should I maybe try and raise it a bit more with a waterfall or a mister? I only use the hydrometer that came with the exo terra habitat kit, so would you recommend investing in a digital one?

you could try covering some of the top with plastic, live plants also help humidity

yes, buy a digital hygrometer, those dial ones aren't very accurate. buts sounds like you're getting the hang of it!
