Firstly,

Secondly, what sort of tree frog is it? What are the dimensions of your set-up, temps and humidity levels? The more info you can give, the better help you will get. Pics would be a bonus

I can't help, I'm afraid, but I'm sure there will be someone along soon who can.

Also there are a lot of shop keepers who'll tell you anything just to sell an animal. There are a lot of people, me included, who don't like mixing species. It's a very emotive subject as previous threads will prove.

I hope the little fella is ok, though. Good luck!

hi, and yes welcome!

sounds to me that maybe the temps are too low? it does depend on the species of course. but any tree frog that is burying itself is not really normal. but I have heard of it before, and have experience of my whites tree frogs doing it, all i did to remedy the situation was turn the stat up. problem solved. I do agree with the previous post about mixed tanks, it's not really the done thing and petshops do have a habit of giving wrong advise (not saying all do, but I have heard some ridiculous things from some) what size is the set up? what's the temps, humidity levels? what species is it? all this and more info would help. what substrate are you using? bascially give us a low down on everything you are doing and using and we can see if we can help!

I'm guessing the environment is too hot and dry and your frog is trying to aestivate, you need to tell us about your setup and what species of tree frog you own before anyone can help you further.

Default Pet shop

Hi there,

I'm by no means an expert but I don't think that the chameleon and a frog should be cohabitting.
The waxy monkey I own was living with a chameleon in the shop and the staff were very worried. Once I got him home in his own viv he was certainly much happier and is now very well.

I don't mix species of frog due to different needs and I really think your frog needs a totally different habitat. Don't listen to all they tell you.

Take care

welcome

like people have said we need more info. like frog species and set-up

also, i would highly recommend you split them up. you will likely need to at some point as most treefrogs stay small enough for a full grown to see them as a snack. also there could be problems with temperture, humidity and stress (chameleons are know for how easily they get stressed out)

its quite possible the pet shop told you what you want to hear to get a better sale. this happen a worrying amount
