i used aqurium mastic to fix a rubber tube around the top of mine and drilled 2mm holes at an inch and a half apart. i then blanked one end off and fixed the other to a powerhead which was placed in the water at the bottom of my tank. the power head is on a timer to switch on at selected times.
there are lots of other ways including fake bottoms and external filters and pumps but i found this the eaisiest way if you have water in the bottom. |

I've already got tubing, I just need a powerhead that's strong enough to pump water through the 6mm tubing. It also obviously needs to fit the 6mm tubing! Can anyone recommend anything? I've no idea what output power I'll need for this size of tube

B and Q are the only place i know of the sell a device that will screw on to a 3/4 or 1" fitting (can't remember which one!) it has about 6 nozzles that are all 6mm. ideal for popping onto a pond pump then blasting through some rain or sending to a mister!
