i can telll you unequivocally that you are wrong on that count. (this is one of the problems i have with this site, the self proclaimed experts dealing out unrequested advice on topics they know nothing about, i'd suggest in future you not deal out advice on a specie which you cannot even identify to some one who has been keeping said spoecie for over 5 years.)

as for frog type, scaphiophryne madagascariensis. previously scaphiophryne pustulosa, also known as emerald rain frog or emerald hopper.

The one in this video is fond of going for regular swims, frequently jumping from the top of the tank to land in the water swim for a while then climb the wall of the tank only to do it all again a short while later.

Default frog

you should really not have water that deep.....

it looks as though the frog really wants to get out of the water rather than swim about....

at first i thought it was a hornedfrog....

ahh some one with intelligence, they are semi fossorial, he's currently being fossorial, i modify his tank twice per year, that vid was taken last autumn before i put him into winter mode, water is almost totally removed for winter and he's allowed to burrow to his hearts content, but in summer he still goes back to his mad swimming sessions

does it really, so what are the conditions that this particular species encounter in the wild then.

thought wrong then didn't you

oh hang on a minute it's yet another self proclaimed expert handing out unrequested advice about a species that they can't even identify.

TO ALL THE MORONS WHO DON'T KNOW WHAT THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT,I CAN CATEGORICALLY STATE THAT THE WATER IN THAT TANK IS NOT TOO DEEP,

Default frog

all you need to do is look at the size of the frog then look at how deep the water is.....

and how much he is thrashing about in the water rather than swimming.....

nice bit of slagging off. but you need to remember your on a forum where people place their own comments and are allowed to. if you want to slag them off for no reason thats up to you. personally as a keeper i wouldn't keep them like that and yes they would come across conditions like that apart from the sheets of glass containing them.

so thanks for turning up on the amphibian forum to slag everyone off now please return to the off topic 18+ and get back to telling everyone how you like a good spanking and violet wands!

thanks

well personaly i would not have water that deep with a captive frog, but i have no knowledge on this species so i can only go by my personal opinion.

The frog looks nice but i do think he was looking to get out rather than have a mad swim.
