Dart viv progress

After picking your brains over the last couple of weeks I thought I would keep you up dated.

The 2 Vivs have arrived


The stand has been built for them


Starting to dec the first one out. False base is in pipe work fitted, and backgrounds in.




Thanks for your help I have got some plants and moss to go in the first one. I am going to see how this one works before I start the second one.

A Local cabinet maker built it for me he charged me less than I could get the wood.

You know what species of frogs you going for ?

The vivs come from Mendipmonsters (email mendipmonsters@aol.com) their web site is the little shop of monsters I have 3 of them and find they work well and are a good price.

I Have got the viv set up. filter system in but the external filter is leaking so has to go back. So the waterfall is not working as yet. The rain system is in and working but very noisy. But other than that all is good just got to let it run for a few weeks and get the plants from dart frog settled and growing. and then move the frogs in.

thats looking gorgeous! great setups - have you got false bottoms? they are well hidden if so!

There is a false bottom in there. I cut the egg crate about 3cm back from the front, then put perspex in front to create a void, filled the void with fish tank gravel, this gives me a sump over the whole viv but is hidden.
