Default France herping...

hi in 3 weeks 2 day im going fishing in france the place im going to is very privert, there has not been people there in over a year, there will be 8 of us fishing there the lake is totaly surrounded by bog land and ponds also there is a small woodland backing onto the bog land. it is like in the middle of no where lol nearest house is like a half hour drive. lol. right as im going to be there for 7 nights and 8 days, at night i will be going out herping, i will make sure i take loads of pics to post when i get back. hopefully i could see some terrestris fire salamanders, marble newts, alpine newts ect.
the area i will be going to is in lyon...
does anyone no what types of amphibians and reptile i might see....????

Hiya what part of france are you going as you will see when you get there that the wildlife over there is very vast and spread out everywhere.

the place i often go to is angouleme. its brillant and in the middle of no where.
Ive seen everything from smooth snakes to whip snakes
and from yellow bellied toads to palmate newts
also 7 wild hermanns weve stumbled upon in the past.

We havent found any adult fire sallies but some young aquatic ones. my grandfather was french and he used to have a massive collection of captive bred amphibs and reptiles which were wildcaught and then bred.

i think there should b loads of amphibians as it is in the middle of a bog land. lol
