Default Tad/frog Q

I have some tadpoles i have been raising from spawn, i want to do this with coomon garden frog b4 i risk buying something more exotic. I noticed one and only one suddenly has front and back legs!!!!! He still has a long tail and is sitting on a huge clump of elodia. Tomorrow i will look at lowering the water and putting some land in the tank. What should i be feeding the froglet? I have been feeding the tads baby fish food so far. I was thinking maybe some daphnia and when they leave the water pinhead crickets?

you have it sorted, you could try some blood worm if it is still in the water. otherwise yep pinheads, and make sure you dust!

not sure on other frogs but i do know that for Poison Dart Frogs, once the front and back legs protude, you stop feeding them, this is because they absorb their tails and live off that. you only start feeding them again when it's all gone.
also, i'd recomend putting a bit of land he/she can climb onto to prevent the risk of drowning.

again, i don't know if this applies to your common toad, but i thought it might help
