Default African Clawed Frogs

Hi, I have had these frogs for approx 10 months or so from tiny little things, and have now produced lots and lots of eggs! The eggs have now started to change and so I have separated them from mom and dad but want to know what food I should start to give them.
I have read that they are filter feeders so should I have the pump and filter running as some people have said that this will be too stressful for them. Any advice would be appreciated as well as knowing if anyone would like some frogs when they are big enough!

how far are you from south staffordshire. i would love some but just need an idea of how u've been careing for them. i would try to give the babies some very small daphnia or something like thator try some very small food particles, infant frogs can be very canabalistic too so u need to make sure they get plenty too eat and arnt too compacted together

The tadpoles are filter feeders, I'd advise you get some Pollywog Tadpole Diet mix it up with a touch of water to get a ketchup type consistancy and then swoosh a small amount into tank.
If you want to use a filter then use an air powered sponge filter as a mechanical filter will remove too much food from the water, alternatively just do regular partial water changes, you'll need to do water changes anyway even with a filter.

Hymenochirus tadpoles are quite specialist feeders, unlike other Pipids the tadpoles of Hymenochirus are predatory and feed by suction. They require tiny aquatic livefoods such as infusoria, Vinegar Eels, Micro Worms, Walter Worms, Banana Worms, Brine Shrimp & Daphnia.
