peat is best as they can bury down in it, and sometimes they eat bark chips when trying to catch prey.

invest in getting some eco earth because amphibians have permiable skin which means that minerals from other things can leach into it so for example if you use peat, the fertilizers will get into the frog, then kill it. eco earth has none of these bad, unatural fertilizers in it

Eco earth is what i use and it is perfect and the boys love it.
