Default my pond!

we only put the pond in last june, already we have frogs and newts but to my suprise today when i was doing some pond maintence up popped lots of baby newts!!! i also have a home made water butt thingy which the last time i was doing the pond i put some fairy moss in this tub of water to make sure i hadn't killed anything by taking it out of the pond, i went to use the water to refill the pond when up popped more baby newts!!! they are sooo cute, the adults are still in the pond aswell as the frogs!

Isnt it a fabulous way of finding out that your pond is the bees knees. I moved my small circular pond to the other side of the garden about 4 months ago i made it wider and deeper and i now have two adult frogs 1 subadult frog and two teeny newly morphed babies.

They are wonderful to havea bout!

I get uber paranoid when i mow my lawn now, i have to serach every inch before i mow so i dont murder them.

I really miss having a pond...mine used to have loads of frogs, toads, fire-bellied newts and assorted insects and beetles. Then we started getting snakes in there too and I nearly pooed my pants when I scooped one out with the pond net....
