Hes stunning
How can you be sure its a male from the pic? I had a feeling it was a female due to the cloaca not being swollen.

I'm just going by the remnants of a barred crest on it's back, which are more clear above it's pelvic area.

First impression, I was going to say our Great Crested Newt, but upon further inspection it is the Alpine Newt.

We should start a thread like this, where people have guess the Amphibian (even though I don't many frogs, so I'll answer the Caudata ones lol)
