Default [Sick ACF Frog] Help Needed, Maybe Urgent.

Hello, We recently bought an Albino African Clawed Frog, the last three days it has been pulling white film type of stuff out of it's mouth.

Could anyone give me any information about this? After it's finished doing it it's fine and goes back on with it's normal frog life.

It's not my frog so i don't know the set-up exactly (like the temp of the heater) but everything seems to be in there, including places to hide and filter and so on. I Believe it eats blood worm once a day, or a worm on the odd occasion.

If it was a snake i'd know what to do, but i'm clueless with Frogs and i can't find anything on here or the internet in general about vomiting/emptying out their stomaches etc.

Any help will be really appreciated, Thank you.

I've been looking on the internet for shed skin and it looks just like it, i guess the reason we thought it was coming out of it's mouth is because he's eating it (which i've read they usually do).

I'm Pretty sure that's exactly what he's been doing, i've taken him off my mother now and geeking up on my Frog knowledge over the net. Thank You for your help Dendroman, it means alot. I Will keep the forum posted on his future progress.

Yes, your frog is shedding its skin and eating it. Mine used to do it all the time.

The first time you see an animal shedding it can be quite unnerving!
