Default probably stupid frog questions but....

..... You gotta start somewhere.

White lipped tree frogs are they the same as Whites tree frogs?

If not are they as easy to look after? We have newts and reps but the boy wants a frog.

The other one he likes the look of are Pop Eyed tree frogs. Can't find much on these the only ones I can find have red eyes and these don't.

They are on sale in Cardiff Reptile Centre. Anyone seen them and know what species they are?

whites and white lipped tree frogs are different species but are from the same genus Litoria.

whites are a very good frog for a beginer and i would advise them over white lipped but niether are very challenging.
Popeyed tree frog is not something i have herd of, so many shops make up there own names, a pic would help. i have looked on there site and they aint on there.

I think looking at the pictures on Exotic pets they are african big eyed frogs. I think we may end up looking for some whites tree frogs though

I love the red eyed tree frogs. No doubt after some experience we'll end up with those. Unless they are easy enough to look after too.

Big Eyed Tree Frogs are great, I have two. They seem to have about 30 different names. They're sort of an intermediate species but I felt comfortable as I'd been reading up on care for a while and set up my tank months in advance.

I prefer the look fo white lips but whites are more popular, so you'd be able to get a lot more advice from other owners.

In brief, White lips require slightly more humid conditions than White's, other than that their care is very similar.

to be fair most tree frogs only realy vary in care by temperature and humidity levels and food sizes. some are more fragile than others though.
