Default This tank....

CLEARSEAL HEXAGONAL AQUARIUM / FISH TANK - BARGAIN! on eBay (end time 23-Sep-09 19:31:07 BST)

How would I get enough ventilation into it? Any ideas? I guess I could cut a hole in the back of the hood. I want my plants to get enough air.

buy yourself a small computer fan and mount it into the hood with some fine mesh below it.

problem with that is it could play havoc with humidity.

could just cut of the dome bit and replace it with mesh

have a hole drilled in on one side to acomidate a ventilation ring, like what are used in snake vivs. an internal fan would only make the air which is already in the viv circulate.

Actually yeah it would do.

I was thinking a mesh implant in the back portion of the hood, it won't be on show.

Two clown tree frogs. I have a 15 gallon I may convert into an arboreal (thought it was a ten but it's not) and just toying with ideas.

I recently picked up one of these for free (sat on a wall outside a pub with a note in saying 'please take me!! Rude not to, I thought!). All I had to buy was the lid.

I drilled some smallish holes (think I used a no.8 or no.10 drill bit) in a couple of the top panels and siliconed some plastic mesh with fine holes that I got from the garden centre across the lid on the lip, so my fbt's can't escape through the cable exit bit. It works a treat!

How many lights does it hold?
