Default Look what I found at work!

the aquatics shop I work at, has a vat for elodea crispa, last week I had a look in, and there was 17 baby newts, and I caught a couple for a photo shoot! ^^

did they get imported weith the plants, if so dont let anyone find out, or you will be introuble(not you exactly but the shop), because i remember when i worked at an aquatics shop and we were waiting for a plant shipment from the airport, and i cant remember their organisation name but they stop illegal plants and animals being imported, and aniway they found a tobbaco fly in the plants so burnt them all to make sure that a foreign species didnt get introduces into this country, but its very cool btw

i think you should keep them alll to see what species they will be, or mabye someone on here can tell you

As far as we can tell they're a native species, but if anyone has a better id will be more than happy to know =]

sounds like you will be ok then , but like i said someone on here should be able to confirm it

Wow... Can't really tell... Looks like a smooth newt but i could be wrong.

That's what I thought they were, but I'm no amphib expert =] guess they are to young to tell yet =]

I wish this happened to me lol.

They could be the Palmate Newt, but I'm not sure.
