Hello, I went to London zoo today and fell in love with the Himalayan Newt. I presume you cant keep these guys as pets? Does anyone know about this?

I presume you mean Tylototriton Verucosus?

These are also known as the Himalayan crocodile newt. You can get these guys as pets, I think TheToad88 has one. They are more aquatic than the other four speicies of the crocodile newt.

Caudata Culture Species Entry - Tylototriton verrucosus
