Thumbs up The start of my modified exo terra

Ok so this is the start to my modified exo terra viv dont know what I will do next to it maybe add a drainage system. But if I do that them im going to have to start cutting back the side's and back. But anyway the viv is a Exo terra 30 x30 x 45cm

Ok so first of the viv

Next I cut a hole in to it

Then I added a bulkhead and mist setup to check it fitted ok witch it did

Next I used some expanding foam to make the back ground but did cheat a bit. And some clear sealant and dry eco earth I then added to the sides some coco paneling

And right now it looks like this

And thats about it for now next will be adding the clay ball's soil live plants and some vine's or wood or somthing lol

Looking good.

How did you drill the hole? Is it hard?

Thanks m8 no easy job all you need is a glass hole cutter from Ebay not much around £3 all in.

STEP BY STEP
1 First you need a electric drill I used a 18v one do not have the drill set on hammer mode .
2 Slot the bit in place in the drill

3 Pick the spot you going to cut and if can use some blue take or somthing like that and make a ring around the spot you going to cut and fill with water.
If you dont have blue take like me then just a glass of water will do.

4 Now take the drill and turn it on slow and put the eage of the cutter on the glass let it cut in a bit then start to move the cutting bit so its flat on the glass now it wont move all over the place as you cut the grove out.

5 keep adding water if it needs it if not just move the bit around so the water can cool the tip of the cutting tool.

6 And thats it your done
