Unhappy Barking Tree Frog passed away today

I'm gutted about the passing of my Baby tree frog today , I've only had her over a week, my local reptile shop thinks crickets had been biting her.

It happened Sunday early hours sometime I come downstairs and she had what looked like a bag of fluid on her back, it actually came from the side of her body just where the leg joins.

I took her to the vets the other day so got some aureomycin to treat the wounds, even the vet said she looked healthy as she was very active and had plenty of colour in her.

Sorry to hear that, its always gutting to lose your frogs. I lost my entire collection of PAF to a virus 2 years ago. I am just starting to think about keeping them again but am a little nervous incase it happens again.

lost another one think its redleg,i noticed it was very red under the belly and legs became listless and moving like it was drunk. moved the one remaining to seperate viv and will hope for the best,am getting more from a different source and will give the big viv a good clean and reset up for them,i got the ill ones from sussexreptiles.co.uk so be advised avoid them.I maybe being a little unfair to them as they seemed healthy when they arrived but to become ill so quicky i know it wasn't my husbandry.

Bought another barking tree frog on saturday, this time I got it from the reptile shop where I got my Leopard Gecko from and I won't be leaving any crickets in the tank.
