cool thanks, they are still in the containers in witch they hatched at the moment I'm reluctant to move them while they are so small and new once they have had a few days of food and i feel they may be a little stronger i will start a small set up to house them untill they are big enough for an adult setup, they are just so small, i have a couple of air powered filter's i use them for mfry they are not strong at all and only blow a few small bubble you can adjust the power of the bubbles will this be OK for them until they are bigger?

found then this morning, moved away the eggs and dead sibling's that they shared them with and did a slight water change
haven't fed them yet as i can't get any Daphia until tomoz nowhere has it until then, i have put in a couple of my smallest fry which are about the size of a daphnia just in case, i don't mind doing daily water changes, the pump doesn't have an air stone it doesn't need one its difficult to describe it,

Hi,
By fry do you mean baby fish?? Fish like feeder guppies ect shoud not be fed to axolotls as fish carry parasites than can be transfered to the axolotls. Babies dont really need to feed till about two days after they hatch as they feed on their yolk sack. As per my previous message you can keep them in containers but not to deep and do water changes with treated water everyday as the fresh water contains the oxygen they require. Try not to be to jerky with your movements when transfering them into fresh tubs as this can stress and possibly kill the babies. I know a few people who have done it that way with success but you could also use your small pump to be on the safe side, See below link ive posted it on your thread also. ![]() http://www.caudata.org/cc/articles/why_larvae_die.shtml Thought i would post a picture of one of my tank set ups, still a work in progress!!!
