Similar requirements to Whites Humidity 70's Temp ranging between 75 - 80 during the day and around 70 at night.
Males have a dark greenish patch on their throats just under the chin which looks beautiful when inflated. I think they are available at 888 reptiles and Coast to Coast. The main problem is its difficult to get captive bred and there have been a few horror stories with WC BTF's on here recently so a quarantine period would be essential. They are charming characters and lightning fast in catching thier food. Hope this helps ![]()

Beautiful hylids but be warned... they're classic chytrid carriers and many fail to survive any length of time in captivity, at least in the UK. The problem stems from the fact that they're typically collected from and around pools shared by American catesbeiana bullfrogs who pass on the infection in the first place.

They carry the chytrid
? Like African clawed frogs carry but show no symptoms? This little fella looks fine, but is a new addition with an unknown history. I certainly don't want to bring in chytrid fungus to my collection and I do have certain bio-secure procedures in place like separate cleaning tools for each tank, new gloves between enclosures, dirty water is treated with bleach before being disposed of, virkon S disinfectant used on everything when deep cleaning etc. Its also in quarantine at the moment. This is the best I can do to try and prevent it other than not bringing in any new animals. Warning taken on board! Thanks |

First of all, i wouldn't panic about it. As i expect you already do with all your animals, just exercise caution between maintenance sessions of the different species you keep (goes without saying though really). There is nothing to say your gratiosa has chytrid, just be aware that it is not unusual for them to carry it.
Cheers Al
