Default Brokeback firetank!

HELP! So, got the fire bellies on Tuesday...settled in well, maybe too well

One keeps trying to mount the other and wont leave it alone, problem is, the other is also male and keeps making this cooing or chirping type noise to say it was male...is this going to be a problem for them?

Please tell me cause I really dont want either to be stressed, hurt or killed!

I was told that having two males would not be a problem (said they couldnt be sexed and it would not matter if they both turned out to be the same sex)

I have four males- typical- and they do this all the time. Doesn't seem to have hurt them yet- and I've had them for getting on for ten years!

Glad to know. Thanks for replying. It just looks so distressing for that poor frog! He tries his damndest to escape but the other just wont stop.

Hopefully he will calm down a little. Think a cold shower will help!?

I wouldn't risk it, doesn't a cold spell then the temps returning to normal encourage mating in some phibs?

Maybe they just can't quit him.

They have now started wrestling each other...full on on hind legs trying to knock each other over...

They both are still eating and look healthy...do you think they are just playing? I am going to take some video and get it uploaded as soon as I can to show you what I am talking about and show their tank as I cant seem to upload pics successfully on here???

It is probably me having to get used to how this species interact, cause the Red eyes dont do it...they just kinda, well, sit there looking pretty!

And that's what the poor females have to put up with, too!!! I wouldn't worry too much, I'm sure the other one will get his own back soon enough!
