an awesome photo! never tried to breed these myself, but usually raise a bunch of spawn from my local parks pond. didn't realise they were difficult to breed in captivity - any ideas why? and how did you get them to breed then rob?

reduced water levels and cooling in the winter - shorter times; I raised the tadpoles in an enclosure in my conservatory - once they become froglets i release them to one of 3 ponds

I currently work for the local water board and we have macerator tanks on site I rescued about a dozen today sadly one had a few legs missing and didnt make it to the stream when I carried them over. I probably save 30 a week from these tanks and everytime I go to the stream were I realease them its teaming with them. I may need a new spot as that many in one area cant be healthy
