Question fire salamander feeding?

hi i just got a new fire salamander but she seems to be curled up in her hiding place all the time. Is she ill or just hibanaiting?

i am also having trouble getting like crikets into her cage how do i get the crikets in her viariam?

pick the crickets up and put them in there thats how i do it.

Salamanders curl up and sleep like cats do, and as they are mainly nocturnal and generally shy from bright light, so what yours is doing is quite normal.

Just make sure the temp is under 20c.

As for the crickets, a couple of minutes- no more- will slow them down enough to get them where you need them.

she spends all night in her hiding place tho.

i tried but the cricket jumps out of my hand..l .... a few minutes in what?

I think ben is on about chilling the crickets in the fridge for a few mins to slow them down
