Exclamation Red Eye not eating

My little fajita has stopped eating, i'm not entirely sure when the last time he ate was and he has always been the smallest of the 3 i have but he is looking so skinny and boney I just looked at him sleeping and you can see his spine and all his ribs on his back

He's seems to perch on the edge of the water dish alot and sleep but he just isnt interested in food.

I know my first one went through this phase and now he eats loads but he never went this skinny. His colouring is ok and the others seem happy enough I always get woken up by their loud chirps!
Yesterday I managed to squirt a drop of critical care formula in his mouth when he was shedding but it didn't really do anything... Hopefully it gave him some energy, he was awake by the waterbowl in the morning and then later he was sleeping on the glass.

It's odd because when I got him he ate a cricket within 5 minutes of me taking him out of the tub and putting him in his new tank...

There's a lot to consider with RETF, from if he's the smallest he may be stressed, not willing to leap for food in fear, to something very wrong like worms or parasites.

But the facts are, Your frog is sick and people on here can only guess a cause and solution. RETF deteriorate quickly and the time spent waiting for a suitably relevant reply could of been time spent booking a vet and getting a definative diagnosis and treatment.

The sooner the better mate

There is defiantly a problem with this frog, he has not been right since you received him. There is a chance he may have an infection due to the lesions from the incorrect shipping methods, or he may be carrying a parasite or bacteria. I agree the best thing would be to consult a qualified veterinary surgeon to get a diagnosis via swaps and fecal samples.

A.Callidryas will stress and deteriorate very quickly, are you still disturbing him? how often and how much are you feeding him? do you vary the diet?

Time is not on the frogs side...

A prolapse isnt neccesarily fatal. How long has it had it?

Put it in a solution of sugar and water, this helps soften the tissue.

You my want to give your viv a good clean and freshen it up. A polapse is often due to a lack of calcium, are you dusting the crickets? Are you feeding the correct size?

I'm affraid I wrote "Isn't NECCESARILY fatal" then told him about treating it.

Man, you should read things properly, it's twice today you've done this and mis-read what I wrote. It's really annoying!!

Now boys...play nice or Santa wont be coming to visit this year!

As for not eating...how many frogs are in the tank? If it is more than one, isolate him so you can see exactly how he is behaving on his own, can keep an eye on his poopies and can see what food he is eating.
