Default help help help another ill salamander

one of my sals died a week back and today i noticed a the other has a fungus like thing n his leg they are white specs

no it died.
now this one has some sort of illness i think it got it of the other one
this one has got a load of white spots on its leg were it meets the body
i think its a fungal???

where did you get them from as it may well be worth contacting the person to see if the whole batch is infected, and what salt solution did you use to treat the other one?

well i got one off pollywog(the dead one)
and the other(appeared fine but now ill) off simon townsen
and i just used normal table salt

what amount of salt did you use?, as you got them from different places i assume you put the together rather than quarantine them separately.

i used about half a pinch in the bottom of a cleaned youghurt tub and a bit of water
i was advised to keep them seperate for a week which i did
p.s. i got them from the donny show

i would say you have a bacterial infection there, so you will need to give a vet a shout , they may prescibe baytril but i would be tempted to go for something a bit more broad spectrum, in this instance salt wont help.
give them a bell tomorrow and see what they say.

i quarantine mine for 2 months, a week doesnt really let anything show itself, as unfortunately you have found out.
