Default My tiger legs seem so nervous

Most of the day they're alseep and seem comfortable but when I catch a glimpse of them early morning or just before lights out (when they wake up) the tend to freeze mid position. It took them a week to eat and they just don't seem settled.

I haven't been opening the doors or hassling them excessively, just to spot clean poop and syphon water, feed etc.

I assume they're still settling down but just wanted to check everything sounds ok?

Do they have lots of cover they can retreat to? that seems to build a bit of confidence.

Yeah, it's a live planted tank with a fair few plants to hide in. They seem to sleep out in the open on one particular plant over any other.

Maybe they are just settling in, then. My treefrogs used to be very shy, but now they pretty much ignore me- unless I'm chucking food in!

I think it depends on individuals aswell. One of my peacocks sometimes jumps out on to my hand, the other will shift nervously when I look in so as she's not facing me.

my red eyes do that too. I have the tank completely covered on all sides. When i lift the green screen i use to cover the front if they are awake they will stop moving and then just go back to sleep. Even if i'm using the red night light. I rarely see them to be honest. They call alot though and often wake me up because its really loud and high pitched, which my whites have never done!

surely smaller frogs are always going to be like this? Their instinct is to freeze when they sense a disturbance and hope their not spotted. I doubt they get used to viv doors opening, especially if your trying to minimize it.
