What about something simliar to a bulb guard?

o.o

Still protecting it from some sort of danger lol.

Also the setup is looking absolutely fantastic! I am sure your froggy will have a wonderful time swimming and chillin' in there. =]

I'm guessing that the insects struggling in/on the water will alert the frogs to go and chow down. xD

Have you seen this one for tree frogs?? You could adapt this for mossys just have more water and less substrate
