In the wild would they normally not eat as much in the winter? I usually feed Oscar 5-6 large crickets 2-3 times a week, but for the last month or so he's only been eating 1, maybe 2 of those each time. Should I be worried about this? He otherwise seems fine.
Stats, before anyone asks for them 60x45x50 converted tank with mesh lid, with live & fake plants. Humidity around 55-60% Hot end: 82c in the day, 78c at night (10 hour day atm for winter, 14hr all this summer) Cold end: 79c/75c Crix dusted with vits/calcium once a week 2% Arcadia UVB lamp Only handled when he decides to jump onto me. Thanks in advance ![]() Edited to use opportunity to show him off looking adorable. ![]()

Yes, I meant °F not °C
I'll try letting the temps drop a little more, thanks He's still the same chubby little golf-ball he's always been, so only having a bit of food doesn't seem to be affecting him. Quote:
Nice to know he's not the only one who does this, I guess I'll stop worrying for now.
