I've not had any frogs/sallies or anything for about 6 years now, long story, got made redundant, went travelling, had a lot of fun, you know the script, anyway, I'm settling back down again now and I'm married, the problem I have is the wife doesn't want to let me have any ikkle froggies, I really fancy setting up a real nice display terrarium for some dendrobatids as well, IMHO a lot prettier and more special than a fish tank in the corner of the room, unfortunatly my parents have been regaling her with tales of being kept awake by crickets chirping (etc), anyone know of any good ways of convincing her that they'll be cute and no fuss?

heh, she aint listening... doesn't beleive me I don't think, I'll have to take her to the blue planet or something like that and show her just how pretty azeurus are, (did well keeping azeurus before, great for the WOW factor)

Seriously, I'd say do what you said & take her somewhere to see how great they can be, if that doesn't win her over you may have to start being more inventive.

haaaahaha. my girlfriend doesn't like my animals (and the way I go on about them), especially the tarantula. but I don't live with her so... she doesn't have much say

Ask her if she wants kids.

If the answer is no, put your testicles on a plate and the frogs on the kitchen table. If she says yes, put her on the kitchen table and the frogs on the credit card.

or just set up a tank anyway, tell her first if you want, but if this is how she's going to be (not willing to listen or compromise etc) on this small issue, she could be worse on much more important issues, and do you really want to stay wth someone who 'must be obeyed'
