White's Tree Frogs are awesomeeeeee!
Basically depends on whether you want a tree frog or a ground frog/how much space you want to supply.

well we have a spare 45x45x60 exo terra, or 45x60x60 exo terra. So could use either of these.
She seems to like frogs that have a colour to them, she always drags me to look at the frogs in the rep shop but i want to know what is a good start so i can get her a book to read and learn from.
We have told her she has to learn about them, make a list of all the things the frog will need, work out how much it will cost and how she is going to feed them and clean them etc
I want her to realise that they dont just come and sit there, i want her to know everything she has to do for them

You'll probably want something arboreal in those taller exos, or you've just got a load of wasted space!
White's Tree Frogs have loads of character, are active at night and really hardy.
They were my first frogs.
Reasonably easy to get hold of aswell.
Colourwise they differ. I have a darker one and a bright green one.

Sounds like you are being a very responsible parent, wish my sons loved reptiles as well as me.My whites are all different,I have four ranging from bright green to a bluey greem,I had one pass away last week which was awful, they are great frogs, although I love my pacman baby because he is sooo cute and will grow into a huge beast,so maybe one you could consider for your step daughter
