Default Fire bellied toads feeding

Hi all, hope you had a good Christmas, i got some Fire bellied toads for Christmas and was just wondering what do you all do about feeding, do you make sure they eat by hand feeding (if so how?) or do you just chuck some food in?
Thanks for reading.

I chuck food in. They are not backward in coming forward at all. Having said that, I always feed mine on the land area, and I do watch to make sure each of my four are eating. They are.

Okay thanks, this is how i'm feeding now just making sure that this would be a suitable way as crickets are pretty good jumpers obviousy and makes me worried sometimes as i bought a Leo that couldn't catch cricks as he is pretty slow and has dodgy eyesight so i always worry, what other foodstuffs do you feed? Any experience with bloodworm, asked this on another thread but thought i would get a few different opinions. Thanks.

Think I answered you on that other thread, so not a different answer at all- but I can tell you what works for me: Crickets: the frogs will lunge at them at speed- no worries about 'leftovers' causing problems, they will stuff their little faces till they are all gone. Worms: the frogs love them, but they're best fed with forceps so they don't have the chance to bury themselves. Small snails: The frogs swallow them whole, and pass the shell fragments later- don't worry, it doesn't seem to cause them any problems! Woodlice: They love them, and any that escape for a (short) while do their bit to clean up the viv. Moths/spiders etc: For such 'clumsy' frogs, they are amazingly agile and can jump and aim over amazing distances when a meal is on the cards!
To be utterly honest, the painfully-skinny FBTs you generally see in the shops are usually fed on bloodworms; yep, they'll eat them, but it's not enough.
