Darts aren't the ideal starter frog but your tank is a good size for a terrestrial species, Tincs, Leucs or Terribilis perhaps.

I've modified two fish tanks so far, just takes a bit of thought.

What lighting do you have? Can you post pics of the tank?

I`ve converted aquaria before and the biggest problem that I found was getting enough airflow through to prevent the tank going mouldy. That is why most dartfrog vivaria have vents at the front and top.

If it's for darts you probably won't need a heatmat, the lights should be enough.

You'll need to add some mesh or something along the top so the frogs cant get to the light.

As mentioned ventilation may be a problem, but with darts you want the humidity over 80% so you don't want too much. You can always add a small fan.

Essentially that's it, plenty of dart froggers use fish tanks. Mine didn't need anything really as I'm using it the way up it's meant to be i.e on it's side. I got some metal L profiles and cut them to the size of the top, added some mesh then placed two exo hoods over them.

The rest just follow how you'd usually set up a dart viv. Drainage layer, substrate, plants, background etc.
