Depends on what kind of tank your going to be creating? they like 50/50 land/water so i used large rocks and stones as the land area.... fake plants... spring water.. or declorinated.... crickets...lol...vitamin powder......UV.... not many people bother with UV with fire bellies but some people say its benefitial (i agree)

erm thats it really i guess? and plants of things for them to climb and interact with because they are very active lol

I prefer real plants, where possible- (and ok, I don't actually use UV or bottled water ;-)) but otherwise, agree totally.

can be quite simple, my old FBT tank that they seemed happy enough in was 3' by 1' by 1' was set up like an aquarium with filter (etc), land area was created with a load of very mossy house bricks on one side with Ivy planted at the back to hide in, I used to do partial water changes every 2 weeks and a full strip down and clean out every 6 months or so...

In my tank the basics are: aquarium gravel underwater, large cobbles built up for land, one exo terr fern, one exo climbing plant and coco panels for backgrond, and a pump. To dress it up I have added cork bark peices and smaller pebbles to enhance the aquarium stones, live aquarium plnts. If you want a land area you can plant in, I would suggest a large ice cream size tub, sunk, using a layer of leca before hte soil, you can then have live plants, but will need to try and grow moss coverage as the soil wil be drug into the water ad the water in the soil. I recommend keeping plants in the pots so they can be easily removed.

The majority of my Bombina are kept in very simple setups, an inch or so of water in the base of the tank with some bits of cork bark floating to form islands and some bits of pothos growing hydroponically. I don't use filters in most of them just change the water regularly.

My tank is 2ft by 1 by 1. I have gravel at the bottom, i have used slate, layered up, to make it 50/50 water and land. I also have a small turtle island, they look great and toads love to slide in the water (FBT's are mad!) I have a filter but it is still important to change water often because of build up on toxins. I have plastic plants but i want to swap for real plants one day. Real plants are better if you want them to breed as they hide their spawn in them. I love my FBT's x

Sorry, forgot to mention crickets and stuff. FBT's will eat ANYTHING, including each other, so a good size cricket is needed. You will be surprised what they can fit in their mouths lol. Dust crickets with calcium, which can be difficult with the water, so also gut load them. They like meal and wax worms too, as a treat lol. And make sure your top is on tight, ive lost 3 and i have NO idea how they get out of the tank, but they do!

Yeah, they work their way up via the corners, usually- and despite looking like toads, they dry out VERY quickly in the average house. If any DO get out, a wet cloth in a jar laid on it's side or a wet towel laid in a likely place can be useful to re-catch them, but you need to have noticed they are gone fast.
