African clawed frogs- although they'll do their best to eat the fish too...

don't think these'd do too well in a cold water aquarium would they?

some sort of aquatic Salamanders would prob. be best, they'll all have a go at eating the fish though I would think

Depends what you mean by 'coldwater'. They usually do fine at room temperature; although nowadays I heat mine to 75F or so, I didn't for years.

hi i would suggest a small type of newt! aslong as you have some land for it to go on will be fine and all your fish are over 2 inches
need to feed the newt on choped earth worm or and blood worms =)

i wouldnt keep newts&goldfish
gold fish can carry bacteria harmful to the newts
and fish can some times bully newts

I agree plus the newts would have very little chance of getting to their food in time with goldfish in there!
