Default Question about Bullfrogs

I've read that bullfrogs can be vectors for diseases. Just wondered and this is probably a silly question, is that ALL bullfrogs or is it the american bullfrog that's being referred to?

I've read that they carry the deadly redleg disease. just wondered if it's all types of bullfrog or just a specific type.

Yes the north american bullfrog is now know to be the vector of one certain extremely dangerous disease.....the disease that has been wiping out frogs worldwide...can't remember the name....arggggg - another reason why this bullfrog is illegal in UK - in fact they have a few emergency phone lines for ppl to call if they see one or know where one is being kept in UK.
At present it is only the american bullfrog with this status.

As Habu said, frogs is frogs! All amphibians are potential vectors for serious disease. American bullfrogs are banned because they are invasive, not because of Chytrid... In which case Xenopus would almost certainly be banned, being the theorised original vector of Chytrid.
