Ahh you have the fruit fly mites.....they are NOT harmful to your pets - they feed on fruit fly eggs only - they will however destroy your fly culture and can infest other cultures. So unless you want to breed them to feed baby dartfrogs and such - you will need to get rid of the existing fly culture, disinfect the surrounding area where your culture was kept to prevent any further spread.

Do not that you can buy fly cultures already infected - so do keep an eye out when buying your cultures.

get some mite paper from dartfrog.co.uk

sorted my mite problem
