How deep should the water be for Axolotl babies?

hi, the water should be very shallow because its much easier for them to catch their food, if the waters too deep then the food will swim to the top. i have mine about 2cm.
Axolotls: The Fascinating Mexican Axolotl and the Tiger Salamander the website above is great, gave me lots of ideas and useful info, good luck with them, mines still hanging on!
