Thanks Bobbie.....all the males are in their own or divided tanks (minimum 3 gallons). Most of the girls are together in a 15 gallon tank.

You can buy some really nice ones on ebay from "with-kind-regards" He's a friend of ours and we got most of our breeding stock from him and sometimes do swaps. He's based in Bournemouth and his shop is DP Fishways.

We'll also have our next lot ready for sale by December. The Dad's of these babies are Taro & Draco

Unfortunately we just lost Draco to Dropsy.....absolutely gutted but there is no effective treatment for it

Beautiful fish, Pier Aquatics in Wigan have the basic males in dozens of them each in a plastic 1 pint pot,I hate to see them like this it shouldnt be allowed

Your're right Shell, it shouldn't be allowed....it seems that they are either kept in tiny containers or just thrown in with totally unsuitable tank mates.

In America it's even worse.....they are kept in tiny plastic cups with barely room to move

There's an independant lfs up the road from us that have a Betta Rack where they each have their own 1-2 gallon tank.....much better for them and their fish always look really healthy
