Is it right that because if KHV the import of koi from the rest of the world cannot be imported into the UK. My mate says Israeli Koi are banned, Japan is next on the list?

Japs definately aren't banned. And as far as I'm aware israeli aren't either. But yeah KHV is quite a big risk to the koi trade. There's a good chance they will be banned but I'd imagine stricter quaranteen procedures will be introduced instead as any fish store can import direct from the breeders and quaranteen themselves for an undisclosed period of time (can be years if they wanted could be hours) so not exactly helpful when there's a risky disease affecting alot of koi stock.
