Nope - either freshwater or brackish.
Tried them in brackish and they seemed unhappy, so put them in fresh and they did much better. Only lasted a few months, though.

awesome as usual esfa! did i ever tell you much i respect your skills in aquatics?... overdue likely... anyway... cool pics. lots of things we don't see here in the states commonly... some are of the typical fare here... like the corys... mine do well... i wish they'd stop breeding though... i hate having to scrap those eggs off the glass constantly... the babies are cute though... relatively few people master aquatics... they might know volumes and every piece of gear in the world but few master the hobby/passion. you have to have a certain "stick-to-it-ness" to see the chemistry in their heads... like playing a PIANO... chop-sticks doesn't cut it! and aquarium photography to boot!... what's not to like? you should find a way to use those skills to become obscenely wealthy.i'm just saying this because at the shop i ran i never could find anyone who was good at this stuff... nor could i teach anyone well enough... they maybe got to a certain point and peaked... none could just get into that rarified air where it all comes together and you can read a tank and it's occupents like sheet music and hear the symphony... most became parrots who gave canned answers to things in customer's tanks ... they were nearly always right on every point as i taught them but they failed every time to put it all together... their minds' failed. they hit a wall. you and several other people here so impressed me... and every time when i read a thread i say to myself, "why didn't i have people like that?" there's some hotshot rich boys out there that think they're all that and a bag of chips... but they know little. if you can't put it all together and feel it in your bones... you know little. some folks like you and a few others can raise stuff in a bucket if needed...the technology today is awesome but the fundamentals of water chemistry and fish biology and all the expertise in different fields of science is all one needs... the gear are toys and gadgets... sorry to go on a tangent but this came to my mind... i hope it's cool for me to blather on like this occaisionally. i so hate being the expert 24/7 here where i live... i am swimming with fools. credit where credit is due... brits overall are better hobbyists than here in the states... your yahoo to good keepers ratio is much lower than it is here... ... i got some real bozo's here 'round me.
