Yeah im pretty sure its only with dead fish. But they dont eat them. They just eat the protective slime coating on it.

This neon looked odd for a while so think it just died.
But when I removed it it had no eyes

This little fish is a right bully too-barges the larger plec out the way!

my biggest pleco is a monster especially when it comes to feeding times, i feed the fish muscles and once he gets hold of one no fish can get near if you could hear a fish growl he's like a dog with a bone,

my other three are not really bad tho they just swim around doing their jobs

its bad mouth one person for making a mistake cos we like them and penalize another for a lesser mistake cos we don't care to like them..

I only have snakes now, but when I did have a fishtank (90 gal) my plec used to sorta bully my oscars too... He was a tough bugger, I moved one time when it was minus twenty and there was no heat in the van. By the time we got to where we were going, there was ice on the top of his water and I was thinking he was a goner, but as soon as the water warmed up, he was still swimming around... Had him for 8 years...

Plecs and other Locariids (other than L46) wouldn't ever kill another fish for food. The tetra will have already been dead on the bottom, and the catfish will have found it and started eating it. Mine have done this a lot before, as have freind's ones.
