Default Synodontis, metynnis, clown loaches

Hi folks,

Here are some of the lovely fish I've kept maily in the past.

silver dollars and a meyleus schomburki (with the black stripe)

Synodontis angelicus on the left, This must have been at least 25 when they pic was taken as it was at least half grown when it was bought 24 years earier. The other one I think is a synodontis omias and was a similar age

Synodontis decorus. both this and the angelicus used to eat from my hand, they could really scoff.

red hook metynnis along with the schomburkhi

feeding time

Default continued

red tailed chalceus

Albino xenopus frog

unfortunately I dont have him anymore, I think the female (albino) ate him

She has a scar from being bitten by a clown loach, I moved her after that happened

monodactylus sebae. The guy in the shop said they will live in fresh water but I found that they didnt do well and didnt live long, they prefer brackish. theyre also quite aggressive towards theior own kind and also anything that looks like them, mine attacked the metynnis so had to be moved

Another note on the xenopus, Dont keep them with other amphibians or cross contaminate between them as the xenopus can carry a nasty fungus that will kill the others

Thanks,
its a 5'x2'x2'. They were pretty big, the 4 clown loaches ranged from about 5"' 1/2" to 8", the decorus was about 10".
Yeah they were happy, they loved their food, I used to give them all sorts, Hikari lionhead pellets, algae wafers, frozen bloodworm, eathworms, chopped cockles, chopped lance fish, brocholi, peas.spinache. I couldn't grow plants though, I used to take all the duxkweed from the other 2 tanks which was enough to completely cover the whole surface and it would be gone in about 2 days lol.
I've heard people say metynnis are skittish but mine were really relaxed, they ate from my hand and they let me touch them but if I did a big water change they got quite stressed when the water level got low. I think this is becuase in the wild when the forest floods they go into the forest but then there will be a time when the water goes back down and then they panic lol.
