Looks fantastic! I've always wanted one of those. However with the amount of times we move the coffee table out of the way it wouldn't be particularly practical!

How much shock goes through to the water when you put down, say a pint glass on the top?

Very little. The glass is mounted on rubber pads which eliminates most of the vibration and means the glass won't slide off the top!

They have a land area, made from bog wood - it is ample for them to be able to sit up out of the water, which they occasionally, but rarely do!

As for Brackish - it's a stretch to call it brackish. Red claw's need a small amount of salt in the water, which they have, but it's not enough salt to upset the shrimps or the cray's.

Looks a pretty old thread but how do you accsses the actual tank, like to feed? As i'm looking into one at the moment, do you think I could keep a shoal of tetra's and a shoal of WCM and some corydoras? It might be a stupid question so don't have a go as I'm all new to fish!

The top pannel of glass (that forms the table) is raised off the top of the tank part on wee pillar things that you can see if you look closely at the back left part of the picture. This leaves a gap to get in to feed etc. You would be able to keep the fish you want no bother. These tanks are a reasonable size so would have more than enough room for these small fish. We used to sell the tanks in my old work and we sold one to an estate agent who put piranhas in it (not sure it is quite big enough for them so would not suggest that is a good idea).

Thanks for the reply, I was thinking 10 or so tetra's, 10 or so WCM and 2-3 corydoras? I'm not sure if you can 'understock' a tank? Because the one im looking at is 230 litres.

my mate made one out of an old table that had a lid that lifted to a storage chest underneath. He put pondliner in it and adapted the lid to include a glass panel in. It cost him the price of a piece of glass to fit as he already had the rest of the stuff. Its a cold water and has a few guppys and a plec in but looks good.

This one is pretty immense tho fair play. Would love one myself but I have huge leather recliners in my living room and I can see an accident happening!
