After reading the sticky about breeding your own waxies, I thought I'd give it a go

List of stuff used:

1 tall jar, with screw on lid (99p shop)

fine mesh for lid vent (already had this left over from my locust set up, about £3.50 posted off ebay)

Sealant (to seal mesh in lid)

Insulating tape

twigs

tissue paper


I drilled out a large hole in the middle of the jar lid, and stuck...

Abit late really posting this, as Ive already been breeding them for about 8/9 months now

But, If anyone gets any use out of it...here goes......

I started off with a old large plastic toy box...one with a click on lid. I drilled holes all over the lid for ventillation, using a small drill bit (virtually covered the lid in holes)

Theyre all at it...piggy backing going on and mating everywhere over the last couple of days. There's even a female, in one of the pots now, half buried, laying her eggs...with a male still grabbing on to her back.

Seen laying going on in all of the 4 pots Ive put in. Ive not misted the laying pots everyday as I was planning....Ive left it to every 2 to 3 days instead...dont want to over wet them. Need to do a big clean out before any babies emerge.

i would like to breed my female hhog but i dont have a male, i dont want to buy a male as i am not going to make this a regular thing and i am not doing it to make money, just for fun.
so i was wondering if there is anything like stud hhogs. like there is with dogs, i would be happy to pay for a stud.
if any one can help let me know

I redid my snails set-up yesterday and they are loving it!
I put some Cress in there which they've been eating, Dee was sitting on it and pretty much crushed the whole thing. He's like a mini bulldozer lol.

I'm glad they like it and I'm going to take a photo soon aswell.
