my 18th old beardie Vader has just been diagnosed with Coccidia and Pin Worm at quite severe levels.. we bought him when he had just turned one and the vets say this developed in his first year. he has had diarrhoea on and off since we bought him 7 mths ago, I approached the breeder (who has now shut down) and he said it was just rehoming stress and that I was feeding him different greens to what he was used to, they told me that they only fed him on kale so I needed to include more of that in his diet.
anyhow, the vets treated him with Baytril, Panomec and Baycox. then the next night he went drastically downhill I rushed him back in and they said he was having a reaction to one of the injections but were unsure which, he was severely dehydrated his eyes were bulging and he was completely out of it.. they injected him with vomend and aquapharm. he got through the night and spent much of Friday out of it, we were told to force feed him baby food and pulped locusts and a pure apple juice and water mix which we have been doing since.

on Saturday he did a poo which was mostly solid but on Sunday it was mushy. one vet seems to think that mushy poo is really bad and he has had his internal intestinal tracts destroyed, possibly his liver and more than likely his stomach wall too..so its only a matter of time before he dies...
another vet thinks it is understandable its mushy as he has had mushy food for 4 days and the treatment they give, to make the pin worm burst can then damage the stomach wall so could just be his stomach wall which will grow back in time...

he's up and down like a yoyo, one hour he is active the next he is out of it and sometimes with bulging eyes.
if anyone can give me any advice I would be really grateful, we are starting to doubt our vets and wonder if they have done more harm as he went downhill so fast after his visit.
Please Help! we are desperate to do anything we can to make him better but we just don't know what to do anymore. we watch him 24/7..any advice will be massively appreciated.. Thank you.x

Hi
I have a 12 year old male terrapin . i have had him since he was a baby.
His tank is large with uv light and the correct temperature water.
I thought he was hibernating over the past 3 weeks which he may have been.
He eats all meats and loves prawns.
For the past 2 weeks after hibernation he has not eaten and i have seen no poo in his tank.
I had stones in the tank but after reading you are not allowed to i have taken them out.
I have done some research and i believe he is constipated.I have put him in warmer water as forums say it helps to soften his bowels.
Is there anything else i can do for him or has anyone experienced this in their terrapin before.
Please any help would be appreciated.
I am looking for a reptile vet to take him but if i can avoid this it would be nice.

Okay , so I bought a female taiwanese rat snake today (( her name is Hailey))

The guy I bought her from (( reptile shop's owner)) told me she was 4 months old !

And I find it a bit hard to believe that she is already 4 months old ! She only weighs 18grams and can't be no thicker than a pencil!

Can anyone here that has taiwanese rat snakes if this age sound right (( I know all snakes grow at own rates , so just asking for opinions ! ))

I will try and add pictures of her on my album as soon as I'm done posting this !
