Earlier in the year i decided that i wanted to get a male to put to my female this year. So in the end i settled on a Lesser. I really like the way that the Lesser gene combines with others. So i went and picked myself up a CB10 male that was around 500g. Ive had him about 10 weeks now and he has taken all 8 feeds that i have offered him. So he now sits around 820g.

There is the option though for me to get a male spider in for the winter to put to her just in case. In the ideall world...

Well,

Ive been hoping all year that my female gets up to weight. She peeked last year around january at 1504g but I didnt fancy breeding her because she would of only been about 7/8 months. She just ate like a complete monster and hardly missed a feed.

So as you can imagine my intitial feeling was that she would be up to weight easily, then the fasting came..... she fasted from the end of januray until about May. She went down to about 1000g. I wasnt concerened though...
