Default Royals. Males to Females

Ok, I believe it is possible to breed each male to a few females. If all are ready and in perfect health is it possible?

Can people please PM or post there experiences with multi females to 1 male breeding.
Looking for information like maximum number of females to 1 male and so on.

thank you john

Hi John

We have 3 breeding males and 8 females and all are kept in seperate enclosures. Basically we give put the males on a 3 days on(sometimes less if we witness a lock-up) 4 days off routine. This seems to work for us!!

Cheers
Nick & Carrie

hahaha. id like to meet some of those women.. yeah anyways back to subject. So it is possible to put males to multiple females but there will be alot of juggling around to get the male to breed with each female..

So how many times do the snakes have to lock to "almost guaruntee" eggs being produced?

The 4 days off is to allow them to recuperate!!! in other words in the space of 10 days you can put a male to 2 females!! Boys arn't always what they are cracked up to be !!! I think Nige is right lol!!!

It's also a patience game - we had 4 breeding females last year, we saw locks with them all and only one produced!! This year we have 8 girls so we will be keeping an eye out for signs of ovulation over the next 2 months or so

hey. 25% of your female bred and 75% didnt. ouch. is this the general rule? i heard it war more like 60-70% usually breed.
when u said they locked. was that only the once they locked? or multiple times?
I also watch some Snakebyte tv on youtube they switch out there snakes daily until there females ovulations are of a certain size.
I dont have a scanner like he does but it is possible to work out roughly how large they are from the date the snakes bred.
