Question Vermiculite Water Concentration?

What is the correct ratio of vermiculite to water? I have seen some funky methods for perlite (1 : 0.8 ratio measured using weight) and wondered if their is a clean figure for vermiculite?
I am breeding some leo eggs, have them incubating now (laid today) and have my temps nicely at 82F and the vermiculite in there now is wet but no water comes out of it so all groovy at the minute, just wanted a nice figure to go by.

Thanks

i was told to use this method:-

put egg tub on scales,

put scales back to zero,

fill to required level with vermiculite,

get your calculator, multiply the weight of the vermiculite by 0.8

add that weight of water, then add eggs, buried half way in, being careful not to turn them over and drown the embryos

use a tub without holes so the water dosnt evaporate, and opening the tub to check on the eggs every few days will give enough air exchange for them to develop.

anyone else do this?

its to hold the moisture for the eggs and to keep them stable, you cant just put the eggs in a tub! they`ll roll around and drown.

Default fan?

whats with the fan? some people use a fan to either circulate air or let fresh air in to the incubator. i dont understand how you can regulate the temperate if you have a fan. are they necessary?
