Default problems with corn mating????

i have just introduced my male in with my female for the second time, gave her a few days break from him, as advised on here, and this time she seems alot more distressed, i.e, running away and trying to get out and really not wanted to be mounted at all. is this normal? last time she was completely fine and not worried by it. also she seems way more fiesty since she was mated too, striking too. but i wonder if having her in an opaque tub is also not helping her cos i spose she has got used to being in her own little dark burrow, and not being able to see us or out of the tub. any ideas?? thank you.

Could be she is already preggy or she is not ready, they have a tendancy to push the advancing males away in a big sweeping motion if they dont want to know. Also most basic question are you sure they are male and female? Usually they cant wait to mate in the case of corns. And if you are certain how old are they? And have either ever mated before?

no they havent mated before a few days ago cos this is their first time together, oh yeh definitely a male and female cos they mated very successfully a few days ago, its just that when i put him in for the 2nd time today she didnt seem that impressed with it all. but im sure if she was a few days pregnant i dnt suppose she would even be aware of that would she? she calmed down in the end and let him do his fing so i guess all is ok. i fink she is gonna be a grumpy gravid female!!

Making him play hard to get by the sounds of things. As long as after a while she let him and didnt get to angry then all sounds normal. Fingers crossed for eggs now.

yeh thats cool then, nah she wasnt really that angry, more she didnt want to be mated and just tried to run away! but yeh she calmed down after a little while and she let him lock with her cos i saw it. and as soon as they had mated she was absolutely fine with him and just went back to being normal, she has always been a little feisty anyway though. yep just gotta wait for eggs now, soooooo excited!! thank you
